Privacy Policy
Effective September 1, 2026.
What we collect
Email address. Display name. Identity verification data (processed by Stripe Identity; not stored by us beyond what Stripe retains). Profile content including bio, photos, and archetype results. Usage data including last active, events attended, and messages sent. Location data: city, state, and coordinates from profile edit. Birth year (stored; displayed only as a decade bracket).
How we use it
To operate the platform. To verify identity. To compute trust scores and discovery matching. To send transactional emails via Resend. To process payments via Stripe. We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.
Identity verification
Identity verification is processed by Stripe Identity. We receive a verification result (verified or unverified) but do not store your government ID or selfie image. Stripe retains this data per their own retention policies.
Photos
Profile photos are stored on Cloudflare R2 with signed URLs that expire every 24 hours. EXIF data is stripped from all photos before storage.
Location data
City, state, and approximate coordinates are stored to power discovery features. Exact coordinates are never displayed to other members. Other members see only your city and state.
Messages
Message content is stored encrypted at rest. Staff do not read private messages except as part of a formal moderation review triggered by a member report.
Data retention
Active member data is retained for the duration of membership. On account deletion, personally identifiable information is anonymized after a 30-day grace period. Some anonymized data, including moderation records, may be retained for up to 12 months.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, correction of inaccurate data, or deletion of your account at any time through Settings.
Third-party services
Stripe (payments and identity verification), Cloudflare R2 (photo storage), Resend (email), Ably (real-time messaging), Neon (database hosting). Each operates under their own privacy policies.
